How I Work

The primary healing modalities I use are Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

In the course of my research, I realised that a thorough knowledge and understanding of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) would greatly enhance how I used and applied EFT with my clients. Since becoming a licensed NLP Practitioner in May 2007, I have found the speed with which results are achieved is faster, EFT is more effective and elegant, and the way in which the client views their issue shifts faster. Hypnotherapy, too, greatly enhances EFT’s application, enabling the stubborn subconscious to shift perspective and accept the possibility of change and healing.

As an EFT Advanced Practitioner, I will work with you to help guide you towards health, wellbeing and emotional freedom. Imagine being able to determine what specific event triggered your illness and successfully neutralize all the negative emotions surrounding that event.  In using EFT on myself and my clients, I have found once the emotional drivers are cleared, physiological pain is reduced.

EFT not only reduces pain, it enables a sense of self worth and confidence again. Once you are in control of your pain or illness, you realize anything is possible: You’ll have the energy to enjoy family activities once again; the motivation to spend time with friends or try something new; and the confidence that you can continue to feel strong, healthy and pain free.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

Based on impressive new discoveries involving the body's subtle energies, EFT has been clinically effective in thousands of cases for Trauma & Abuse, Stress & Anxiety, Fears & Phobias, Depression, Addictive Cravings, Children's Issues and hundreds of physical symptoms including headaches, body pains and breathing difficulties. Properly applied, over 80% achieve either noticeable improvement or complete cessation of the problem.

EFT is remarkable because:

The roots of EFT can be found in traditional Chinese medicine: negative emotions block the energy flow within the body. In order for the emotional problem to be resolved, the energy block needs to be removed. Accordingly, EFT suggests the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.

EFT is a form of “psychological acupuncture” without the needles. A person focuses on the 'problem' and taps with two fingers on specific energy meridian points. Consequently, the disruption (or blockage) is cleared, the emotional charge neutralized, and health and wellbeing are restored.

The EFT process is very gentle. It is easy to memorize and use, and is portable so it can be used anywhere. The technique is safe for adults, children and animals, and the results are usually permanent.

EFT was developed in the early 1990’s, in America, by Gary Craig, a Stanford Engineer. As a  Life Coach, he had worked with Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) for many years until he discovered Thought Field Therapy (TFT) in the 1980's.

TFT was the product of many years of intensive research by American Psychologist, Roger Callahan Ph.D. Callahan had studied Acupuncture and Kinesiology and had devised a system which used over 300 energy points. Gary Craig modified this to a set of “all purpose” points which could be applied to treat any emotional problem. He suggested if a client focussed on a 'problem' and tapped on the revised sequence of about 11 energy points, emotional freedom could be achieved. Thus Emotional Freedom Techniques was born.
